Hello blog-world! I know I've been the worst about blogging and posting here lately, but you know it's a good thing because that means I'm busy writing. I've been working with my amazing editor Amy to get Finding Sam shaped up and perfect by August 31. But I wanted to write a quickie post today to share some exciting news, explain my new choices, and invite you to a few things. So let's get right down to it!
Leaving KU...Coming everywhere!
After some changes to Amazon's paying services and their Kindle Unlimited memberships, I've been wondering how to handle my publishing journey. I always want the best for my readers, so know that I've come to this decision with you in mind. Amazon now pays by pages read, which is great since I write big books! However, the amount total for a book has significantly dropped. Sure, the new system is brand spanking new, but it doesn't work for me. I don't like forcing readers to read my books fast. And from what I've read, readers don't like being told they have to finish a book whether they like it or not. This new system hurts the relationship between authors and readers because it's forcing authors to tell you to read the whole book! For me, it doesn't sit well. I know I don't like being told what to do. As a reader, I feel like even if I don't like a book, I need to read it all just so the author doesn't get screwed.
So I'm pulling my books from Kindle Unlimited starting September 1. It will be a transition since all of my contracts end on different days so bear with me for the next month or so as books go from website to website. However, this is a great change for us all! You want to know why? Because my books will now be available in the iBooks store, Nook, GooglePlay, Kobo, Smashwords, and wherever else you can grab books! So if you don't have a kindle, this rocks for you! Even if you do have a kindle, my books are still available on amazon and for their low prices. All of my books at full price are $2.99 and below!
I'm VERY excited about this change and broadening my book outreach to new readers. I also want to note that Finding Sam will be released August 31 on ALL CHANNELS to purchase e-books. So you don't have to wait to get that one anywhere. Also on KOBO you can preorder all of my books to download on their "release day" into the real world. Big things are happening and I'm so glad to finally share what's going on.
Where are you in the world?
Guess what? I'm traveling the US next year on a series of book tours and signings. And I'd love to see some of you there! I can't wait to travel the US and meet all of you amazing readers. Here's the one I've just signed on to attend!

Remember that blog post from a while back where I explained that I have writer's ADD. It's acting up like crazy! Since I've finished Finding Sam, I started working on Boundless. I love getting back into the angels and demons world. But I hit a little rut. Then I got inspired to write some of The Last Legacy (It's all of your faults for begging for the next book!) and I wrote a bunch, drafted the entire second book, found out it's actually three books, and finished episode one which just happens to be in Jim's POV. So that rocked! But I had trouble moving on with it. I started Fallout: Attraction and am really on a roll writing that bad boy.
So to answer the question, what am I writing? I'm actually in the middle of three books right now. Although Boundless is half done, and I'd like to get that one out next. Then I'd love to get The Last Legacy: Season Two out by Christmas. My goal for the Fallout Series is to write them all and published them closely back to back within about a month of two of each other. They're full length, but since it is a series and they should be read back to back, I want to publish them that way. All my other projects are next year! Phew!
