The super long title says it all. Today I am ecstatic to release the front cover for The Last Legacy. I know you guys have been chomping at the bit to see it. I'm also releasing the episode summaries so you get an idea what's going to be posted every week. Be aware that some may contain little spoilers to what happens. But first...THE COVER :) HOW PRETTY IS IT? I love it so much! Here's a quick recap of what The Last Legacy is all about... It is a serial novel. The entire compilation is comprised of ten episodes around 10-15,000 words. I'm releasing them here first starting next Friday April 3rd. And then once a week following that. At the end of the ten weeks, I will publish all of it as one "season". (Note: the episodes on this blog will be unedited.) As a reader, you have two options: read it weekly, or wait it out and read it as a novel. It makes no difference, although I like to think the weekly is better. I've tailored each episode to have a full arc while spanning the entire season. It's basically TV show (weekly reading) versus movie (novel reading). But the best part is: it's completely up to you how you read it. The Last Legacy Episode GuidePilot: Eight Days Ago Lana Greyson always struggled—from foster homes, to keeping a job, to abusive relationships. She finally has it figured out when a chemical war leaves her cowering in her home, scared of the people bombing outside her walls. Episode One: Kidnap Lana gets kidnapped by a group of looting men with questionable motives. Jim’s true intentions show, but Lana doesn’t know who to trust. Thrown into a new world with threats unimaginable, Lana clings to hope. Lana and Jim must fight to survive. Episode Two: Scarlet After fleeing the safe house, Lana and Jim trek a dangerous trail of constant attacks and moral dilemma. They search for food and are confronted with more questions that need immediate answer. When their shelter is surrounded, they’re left running yet again. Episode Three: Highway People go missing, their intentions unclear. On a quest to find Scarlet’s sister, the group drives south. They’re forced to ditch the car, running through dense woods on foot. Lana’s injury reacquaints her with a familiar face. Episode Four: Bitten A survivor gets bitten by one of the eaters, and the group is forced to veer off the highway towards a hospital. While searching for medicine, Jim and Lana get attacked. A new man sheds light on previous events, explaining his theory of the downfall of mankind. Episode Five: Family Constantly on the move, the group finds shelters at night. They restock with weapons and supplies while getting to know one another. A family of four finds them at camp. Tensions rise as personalities clash. Episode Six: Change The group must protect themselves from the unknown. Moral dilemma rises again as a complicated decision relies on vote. The men bargain for shelter, helping Gavin loot in exchange for one night in his safe house. Episode Seven: Split With Gavin’s house overrun, the group separates and must work to find their way back together. Loss throws everyone into a depression. Lana fights to be the glue to hold everyone together. Episode Eight: Mission Lana continues to sacrifice for others. A threat is made targeting Jim. Another loss rocks the group. They complete the last leg of their mission to find Scarlet’s sister. Episode Nine: Safe At Sandra’s house, they debate where to go next. They begin securing the house in hopes of squatting for the winter. Looting houses, they gather food. Lana and Jim connect, their relationship strengthening after their hard journey. Episode Ten: Boat Lana sees something she’s not supposed to that changes everything she ever thought to be true. The group flees towards Sandra’s boat, using their backup plan of moving south for the winter. They travel to a new destination, with doubts and regret along for the ride.
